My grandmother Hilda told me that she met Kurt when they went to the socialist youth groups and summer camps. She has kept her friends since then. They were almost all Jews that emigrated during the war. They continue to write to her and they visit her when they come to Vienna.

 

During that time my grandmother began to take photographs. Her father gave her a camera. She learned to develop and print the photographs in the sun.
